![]() Do you believe God answers prayers? Do you truly believe when you ask Him for something, He hears you? There have been so many times in my life that God immediately answered my prayers, and other times where He answered them on His time. It is hard sometimes to wait and have faith that He will answer your prayers, but that is exactly what we have to do. In September of 2016, my life was going great! It really was. I have the most kindest, loving man in the world who is my husband, we live in Washington state in one of the most beautiful places on earth with good friends who spent time with us, we are in good health, and we are truly blessed. But there seemed to be something missing. While I have a group of wonderful Christian ladies online in my Building Your Faith Facebook group that share inspiring verses, support each other through prayer, and grow together in Bible studies, I was searching for a deeper relationship with the Lord. I started to pray to the Lord to send me friends who have a deeper understanding and love for the Lord who could help me grow in my relationship with Him. Never in a million years would I have believed that my MLM family would be just that. Immediately when joining this incredible company in October 2016, I started to see the type of people who worked in the business. From Allan and Nicole, to Julie, Debbie, Mica, Eric, Dena, Stuart, Crystal, Allison, Lacey, Dave, and Shandell (who were all on the same Success Team I was on), I saw a strength in the Lord that I hadn't seen in years. There was a support system not only for our business, but for our faith and growing in Christ. I received texts and messages to just say they were thinking and praying for me if they knew I was in a funky mood. I would receive a call asking for prayers for something they were doing that day when they needed strength. People with this type of faith are so wonderful to have you in your life! They give you strength . . . real strength to stretch yourself in your faith and in your life. As I continued to grow in my health & wellness business, I attended my first Team Retreat in Chewelah in April 2017 as well as the national convention last July and I saw that this wasn't just a fluke! Listening to Jerry, Kendra, Josh, Chelsey, and Jessica, really every speaker at the retreat and convention expressed their love for God. Did you hear that . . . Every speaker who took the stage gave glory to God! Not just a random comment about God, but a true passion of what He has done for them and continues to do for them in their lives. I am thankful for so many more in our MLM family . . . too many to name here, but know that I am so happy that God has brought you into my life, and I know He will continue to help us do great things by reaching others. My favorite time to talk to God is while I am on my morning walk. It helps me focus on my day and get some insight as to His plan for me. If you haven't spent quality time with God in a while, I hope you will take a moment to talk with Him. Take a second right now and tell Him how awesome He is. Tell Him how thankful you are that He is in your life. Put a prayer time on your daily calendar if you have to and make sure to keep it. If you truly can't find time during the day, pray while you are in the bathroom! I know it sounds crazy, but God doesn't care what you are doing as long as you seek to be with Him even if for a few minutes. If you don't know how to pray, recite the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13 or just talk to Him like he is your best friend. I used to be afraid to pray out loud at church because I didn't think I could pray the way my preacher could talk to God, but I have learned it doesn't matter how much I mess up or stumble over my words, God loves it all the same. God can work miracles, I truly believe that. Prayer is one of the most intimate things we can do to become closer to Him, and I hope you can make daily time for Him. He longs to hear from you. God bless!

![]() Have you ever had one of those God ah-ha moments, but you ignore it because you think it is just your mind wandering? You know the ones I am talking about . . . when the same thought keeps coming back up time and time again in different situations. It seems I have been having a lot of those lately. I have been feeling a calling to start touching people's lives through workshops that focus on helping others realize the important moments in their lives. To help people notice what really matters in their life as well as growing personally to remember the importance of taking care of themselves. While I have had this feeling for some time, it has taken me years to act on it. Recently, I sent out a couple of messages to some of my friends at local churches to see if anyone thought there would be any interest in my workshop. One friend I had contacted forwarded over my message to the contact at her church who handles the women's ministries. Several days later I went to service at that church and after the services the lady in front of me turned around to introduce herself. When I told her my name, she said, "Aren't you the lady who is wanting to do something for the women's ministries?" As God would have it, I met the lady who is in charge of women's ministries. Out of all the ladies of that church I visited that day, I met the one person I needed to follow up with regarding my workshop. That is God giving me another ah-ha moment that He truly wants me to focus on this next journey in my life. Have you had similar situations? What have you done about it? Ignored the feeling or acted on it? Whether it be work related, relationship issues, or just personal time to grow in Christ, I encourage you to open you mind to listen to what God has in store for you. Change is good . . . it can be scary, but with God by our side we can't fail. Trust Him to guide you through whatever journey is in store for you next. ![]() Have you ever stopped and looked at the view from your window? The view from our back window overlooks the rental cabin we started last year surrounded by tall, scaling pine trees. Past that is the grand mountain behind our property that gets covered in snow during this season. I love the end of Fall and the beginning of Winter because there will be times that this mountain behind our property will have a line of snow covering it that comes partially down the slope while we do not have any snow at all. This is the sign of changing of the seasons from Fall to Winter and I love each season and what it brings. It is the perfect amount of time for each season and by the end of each, I am ready for the next. Something about this area that I love are the specific four seasons, unlike my home state of Texas that really has one main season . . . HOT! There is so much in life to be grateful for . . . so many little things that we take for granted every day. Every once in a while, I will just stand in the shower and think how lucky I am to have a hot shower any time of the day when I want it. To have food on the table every meal . . . even have choices of what I want for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. When I think that there are so many in other countries, or even for some here in the U.S., who don’t have three meals a day, it makes me sad for them but also so grateful that I have never had to worry about being hungry. We have instant access to pretty much any question you have by just typing it into the search engine and immediate contact to family and friends by sending a text with no more having to wait four to seven days to send a letter. I believe many people have lost sight of what is important in life and how fortunate we truly are. We think about buying a new car when our current one is running just fine. We think about getting a new iPhone just because a newer version is released. We feel we need several more pairs of shoes just because there is a huge sale going on when we already have 20 pairs in our closet! There are so many things I am thankful for in my life . . . my husband, my furry babies, my family and friends, the home that keeps us warm and safe, my health, the fact that I get up each morning and can walk around our property. Today, I encourage you to take a moment. Take a moment to be thankful for your surroundings and spend three to five minutes making a gratitude list of all the little things you are thankful for in your life. You would be surprised how many things you could put on that list and how truly blessed you are! |
